Stop second-guessing every single food choice.

Start feeling confident in what you eat.

If you're tired of conflicting nutrition advice, restrictive diets that don't last, and feeling like you're doing it all wrong… you're in the right place.

At Basic Balance Nutrition, our team of Texas Registered Dietitians provides personalized one-on-one counseling that helps you build sustainable health without the shame, confusion, or another diet you can't stick to.

Best part? It's typically covered 100% by your insurance.

We're Basic Balance Nutrition: a team of Registered Dietitians redefining wellness across Texas.

We believe health isn't about eating less or weighing less. Real wellness is built by adding what your body needs (things like nourishment, movement, trust), not by restricting or following rigid rules.

Our approach focuses on metabolic health and mindset, helping you shift away from diet culture's obsession with weight loss and toward habits that actually support long-term wellbeing.

We help people who:

Feel overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice and want REAL guidance that fits their life.
Maybe you're managing a new diagnosis like prediabetes or high blood pressure, or you just want to prevent future health issues and build foundational habits without dieting.

Are stuck in the endless cycle of restriction, overeating, and guilt.
You're exhausted from "starting over every Monday" and want freedom from food obsession, peace with your body, and a way to redefine health beyond the scale.

Wherever you are in your wellness journey, we meet you there, with compassion, expertise, and support that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.

If you feel like you’ve tried literally everything, and you still feel completely stuck… keep reading.

Maybe you've been on every diet out there, only to end up right back where you started.

Or maybe you're newly managing a health diagnosis and feel completely overwhelmed.

You want to feel better in your body, have more energy, improve your labs, and stop obsessing over food… but the harder you try, the more confused and frustrated you feel.

And honestly? You're afraid to try again.

You don't want to fail one more time. You don't want rigid meal plans or someone telling you what you can't eat. But you also don't want to feel lost without any guidance at all.

Our 1:1 sessions are built around you: your health history, your lifestyle, your preferences, and your goals.

No generic meal plans.
No food rules.
No shame.

Just evidence-based guidance from a Registered Dietitian who takes the time to understand what you need and helps you build habits that actually work for YOU.

This is what personalized nutrition counseling should feel like.

What it actually feels like to work with us:

No judgment. Ever.

Whether you're struggling with binge eating, afraid to admit how much you restrict, or embarrassed about your relationship with food — this is a shame-free space, first and foremost.

You won't be pressured to lose weight.

We don't weigh clients unless they specifically request it, and we never make weight loss the focus of our sessions. We're here to help you build health and confidence, not chase a number on the scale.

You don't have to be perfect.

Didn't follow through on last week's goal? That's completely normal and expected. We're here to problem-solve with you, not make you feel bad. Progress matters more than perfection.

Virtual works just as well as in-person.

Our virtual sessions are just as personalized, supportive, and effective as meeting face-to-face. You will always get the same quality care from the comfort of your own home.

What Our Process Looks Like

  • Step 1: Schedule Your Initial Session

Call/text 936-337-3223 or click here to schedule online to book your first appointment.

  • Step 2: Pre-Appointment Form Completion

Once scheduled, you'll complete our intake forms so we can learn more about you before we meet.

  • Step 3: Insurance Verification

We’ll contact your insurance company to verify your benefits and share the information we receive at least 72 hours before your first appointment. This helps you understand your estimated coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs before we get started. For appointments booked within 72 hours, benefits may be shared after your first visit, depending on insurance response times.

  • Step 4: Your First Appointment

This is where we get to know you. We'll ask questions about your health history, your current eating patterns, your lifestyle, and what you're hoping to achieve. We'll also set clear expectations for what working together will look like. This session is primarily about understanding where you are now and where you want to go.

  • Step 5: Follow-Up Sessions

After your first appointment, we recommend scheduling at least four weekly sessions to build momentum. This is where the real education and individualized guidance begins. Each follow-up is tailored to what you need most, whether that's understanding blood sugar management, learning how to balance your meals, working through food guilt, or building sustainable habits that fit your schedule.

  • Step 6: Ongoing Support

Most clients continue with us for 10 sessions or more as they work toward lasting change. Some transition into a maintenance rhythm with less frequent check-ins. We move at your pace and adjust our support as your needs evolve. The goal is always sustainable wellness, not a quick fix.
