TEXAS REGISTERED DIETITIAN TEAM
We believe in creating health habits that add to your life... not take away from it.
At Basic Balance Nutrition, our Texas Registered Dietitian team provides personalized, judgment-free nutrition counseling that focuses on building sustainable health through mindset, metabolism, and habits that actually fit your real life. We're here to help you move from confusion and shame to clarity, confidence, and trust in your body.
Hey, there!
We’re the team behind Basic Balance Nutrition!
We're a team of Registered Dietitians based in Texas who believe wellness should feel supportive, not restrictive.
We don't do food rules, shame, or even think about taking away your favorite foods. Instead, we help you understand how your body works and teach you how to support it with adequate fueling, balanced nutrition, and habits that add to your life.
Our approach is multi-faceted: rooted in science AND the human element of living fully. We focus on metabolic health and mindset, helping clients shift away from diet culture's obsession with weight loss and toward a definition of health that includes energy, balance, consistency, and peace with food.
Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, feeling overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice, or stuck in a cycle of restriction and guilt, we meet you exactly where you are.
WHAT SETS OUR TEAM APART
We're a small, closely connected team. We meet weekly to collaborate, share insights, and support each other in providing the best possible care for our clients. When you work with one of our Registered Dietitians, you benefit from the collective expertise and thoughtfulness of our entire team.
We've intentionally built a work culture where our dietitians feel valued, respected, and supported because we know that when our team thrives, our clients do too.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Our goal is your ability to live life fully and confidently.
Here are a few transformations you can expect from working with our team:
You'll feel seen and supported from day one.
No judgment. No shame. No feeling like you're "doing it wrong." From your very first session, you'll experience what it's like to work with a team who genuinely believes you're doing your best and wants to help you move forward with compassion and clarity.
You'll gain confidence in your food choices.
You'll stop second-guessing every meal and start trusting yourself around food. We help you understand the why behind nutrition advice so you can make informed decisions that feel right for your body and your life.
You'll rebuild trust with your body.
Whether you've spent years ignoring hunger cues or fighting against what your body needs, we'll help you reconnect. You'll learn to recognize what your body is telling you and respond in ways that feel nourishing, not restrictive.
You'll redefine what health means to you.
Health isn't about a number on the scale or fitting into a certain size. We'll help you shift your focus to metabolic health, energy levels, how you feel in your body, and the everyday habits that truly support long-term wellness.
You'll experience food freedom.
Imagine going to a party without anxiety. Eating dessert without guilt. Enjoying meals with your family without mentally calculating every bite. That's what we're working toward together.
You'll have ongoing support that meets you where you are.
We provide consistent, individualized care that evolves as you do. Most clients work with us for 10+ sessions, and many continue with Momentum — ongoing support to maintain progress and keep building habits that last.
Real wellness isn't about eating less or weighing less.
We help you add nourishment, movement, and trust so health feels sustainable, not restrictive.

I love being a dietitian because I love meeting a variety of people and how they connect with food! I love hearing everyones stories, their backgrounds, their cultural upbringing and how it influences their diet. How much we connect as humans through food is so comforting to me, and I love being able to remind clients of this. You could speak a completely different language, but if you're sharing a meal together, you're connecting in some way. I love talking with clients about how nutrition doesn't just mean diet, it is the food we put in our body that nourishes our body, mind, heart and soul.

Don’t see your question?
-
In most cases, no referral is needed to work with our dietitians. Some insurance plans may require one, but our team will verify your benefits and confirm exactly what your plan requires before you get started. If a referral is needed, we’ll help coordinate that for you so the process feels simple and stress-free.
-
Once you’re scheduled, we’ll take care of verifying your insurance benefits and let you know what your plan covers before your first appointment. Many of our clients are covered 100% with unlimited visits, making ongoing support accessible and affordable.
-
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk through your health history, goals, lifestyle, relationship with food, and what you’re hoping to change or improve. There’s no judgment, no pressure, and no rigid plan handed to you. Together, we’ll start building a personalized approach focused on mindset, metabolism, and realistic next steps that fit your life.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Most clients benefit from ongoing support, especially when working on mindset shifts, metabolic health, and sustainable habits. We’ll create a plan together based on your goals, needs, and progress—always adjusting as life changes.
-
Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual appointments, giving you flexibility to receive support in a way that works best for your schedule and lifestyle.

-
Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us not wanting to focus on weight loss. We specialize in redefining wellness beyond weight by focusing on mindset, metabolism, energy, labs, digestion, and overall quality of life. Health is about far more than a number on the scale.
-
We don’t believe in rigid meal plans or “perfect” eating. Instead, we provide flexible guidance, education, and structure that helps you feel confident making food choices in real life. If helpful, we can offer examples, ideas, and frameworks—but always with an add-not-restrict approach.
-
We understand that life happens, and we do our best to be flexible. If you need to reschedule, we simply ask for notice according to our cancellation policy so we can offer the time to another client. Consistency is an important part of making progress, so we’ll always work with you to find a schedule that feels realistic and supportive—without judgment or pressure.
